About Me

Hi! My name is Michael Guerriere, but I go by Mike. I am a Sophomore Sports Media major and a Sales minor here at High Point. My hometown is Baldwin, NY located on Long Island, NY. In my classes I am focused participating as much as possible, even if I don’t necessarily understand the topic I still want to break out of my comfort zone and become a confident student.

When I am not in the classroom you can find working many jobs, but most importantly, I am the youngest manager of a very famous beach club called, The Sands at Atlantic Beach. My job requires me to run and operate the beach club throughout the summer as well as running the night life, which consists of catering services, birthdays, weddings, parties, etc. This Job required a lot of things that I did not have, but they took a chance on me and it has paid off. This shows my ability to adapt to many different situations under certain circumstances.

The original reason I attended High Point was for the sport of lacrosse. I was a top 100 recruit in the nation coming out of High School as a Defensive player. At this point I am no longer apart of the Lacrosse program here, which leads me to my next point. When I am outside of the classroom one of my main focuses is on my mental and physical health, which is very important to me. My mental is something I take very seriously and is something I'm very proud of.

Night out on the town and I decide to get some dinner, my absolute go to meal has to be Chicken Parmigiana. Growing up in an Italian family there was never a Sunday night dinner where I wasn’t chowing down on some Chicken Parmigiana made by Grandma Guerriere, there was nothing better!
